We are a non-profit organization of single people, ages 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's who want to meet others while volunteering for local non-profit groups around the Lake County and Northeast Ohio areas.

SVLC provides an atmosphere where single people can develop new friendships and relationships while giving back to the community.

There is no fee to join, so why not give it a try?

Announcements Sat., Aug. 4, PJ at Riders Inn (7:30-11:00 pm) – Are you looking for something to do locally? You will enjoy the music of P.J. Philips at Riders Inn. 792 Mentor Ave., in Painesville. PJ has a diverse repertoire of softer music including rock, country and folk. Her angelic voice and crowd interaction makes for a perennial favorite. PJ sings from 8 to 11 pm. Food and beverages at Riders are moderately priced. Sat., Aug. 11, Coffeehouse Series (6:30-8:30pm): Come out for an informal evening of music, java and munchies. Enjoy an evening featuring Denny Carlton and a host of musicians with varied musical styles from bluegrass to jazz, rock to folk, blues to reggae and more. The coffeehouse is free and open to the public. The performances will take place at the Marcus Brothers Outdoor Stage. If it rains it will take place indoors at the Main Gallery at the Willoughby Fine Arts. 38660 Mentor Avenue, Willoughby. Sat., Aug. 25, West Side Market (Carpool 9:00am) – Here is your chance to see some great Cleveland buildings and included at no extra charge, are the great smells of fresh produce and unpackaged meats. After shopping at the market, we will wander down West 25th Street to other shops along the way. To cap off the experience, we’ll have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. Get to Know Us . . . Join Us at a Monthly General Meeting

Single Volunteers of Lake County has monthly meetings to get together and find out what's happening in the next month, socialize with friends and meet interested new potential members. It's a great opportunity to see what we are about in an informal, friendly environment. New members are welcome - bring your friends! Sign up for volunteer projects and see what socials are planned.

Meetings are casual, fun, informative and sometimes include guest speakers, picnics, Chinese auctions or holiday celebrations. They are generally held the fourth Friday of the month at Willoughby City Hall at 7:00 p.m., but please check our web site for possible changes to the schedule. This general rule does change for the months of November and December due to the holidays and we usually try to have one picnic in the summer at a local park.
